I always thought the Roko's basilisk thought experiment was flawed since the opposite thought experiment could also be true. Imagine a benevolent AI that instead of punishing you for not helping to create it, would reward you with untold, everlasting pleasure for having helped create it.
This kind of gives me an idea for hashes. Right now you get a random hash per thread based on the account you're posting on, to prevent samefrening. I could also make it so that it also checks IP, so switching accounts wouldn't necessarily give you a new hash.
idk I thought I could finish the app in a month but I was clearly wrong. Not really giving estimates anymore, but I do work on it almost every day now.
Save folders screen (create, delete, edit), subchans list screen with trending subchans, subchan search, user search, submit post, save/unsave/delete/edit comment, submit/edit/save/unsave post, inbox, send messages, reply to messages, search messages, conversation screen, get subchan rules, report post/comment, search posts, and I think that's it.
The API calls are all completed for these, so it's just a matter of front-end now. But I suck at React Native (I'm not a mobile dev), so progress is slow. A really good dev could probably finish what I have left in a few days.
hmm I could take a look into that. The problem is that I know some users will try to do like 30 line breaks at a time for fun and it'll look weird. I could set up something for 1 max line break at a time or something, idk.
true
looking forward to it
Do you use 3.5 or 4? 4 is pretty consistent for me.

NO
I can't do anything about that. Your email provider is flagging it because mainchan is relatively unknown.
/u/Bitch did you check your spam folder?
they'd have to be familiar with the existing codebase
Let's see...

trying to work on the mainchan app but I'm ADDing hard.
Too many to count. I'm pretty picky when it comes to games.

it's an unofficial discord now
it's on the frontpage sidebar. I don't think it belongs on the top nav
