This issue will be gone once the website gets bigger. I'm well aware of it. Basically the problem is that this is 2 feeds in one, a feed of "hotness" and "relative hotness". You're getting the hottest submissions (basically just total votes / time) and the hottest submission RELATIVE to that subchan's subcount. This 2nd feed is so that even if you subscribe to a really small subchan, you'll still see posts from there sometimes. If the website gets bigger, you'll no longer see duplicates.

It works the same was as on Reddit. When you get a notification, you get it from the "user" Mainchan. A mod removed these submissions.
