This is especially frustrating when I'm on desktop. I don't care about your damn mobile app I want to view content on a big screen not on a tiny mobile phone.

It gives a bigger userbase and more engagement. People will use the app and not even see the time in the corner of their screen, not noticing how much sunlight they are spending on the app. Is also easier to force people to scroll or see adverts they could easily avoid on a computer screen. I dislike most apps and the only reason I have them is due to bullshit censorship of content on the main site, or cause the limited screenspace looks better.
They can profile your device and send you targeted ads.
They can datamine you more easily. It's illegal to do something analogous to adding uBlock to an app, plus a website doesn't have access to all the device APIs like an app does.

Mobile apps are easy to use. I hope when mainchan gets a mobile version it will still be use able as a website
I don't like typing on my phone and is harder to search up how to spell words or information inbetween writting something. I guess people just get used to what they do the most.
I'd say that websites are as easy to use as mobile apps as long as they are properly designed.
I agree which is why is said I said mainchan should still be useable as a website on mobile
