You should go back to /r/RedditAlternatives and tell them so. It's definitely the right moment to promote Mainchan. d33r should leave you alone since it's been over a month since your last post there.
I think some of the ones serious about finding an alternate are seeping over. If more subs would have joined the protest I think we'd have seen a bigger influx though. Also could have used a bit more Mainchan shilling in all those threads asking about alt sites. I dropped a link whenever I noticed one, a bit of "Can I interrupt your Lemmy shilling to shill Mainchan?" stuff. Can confirm that the chan in the name scares redditors. And danggit I posted this anonymous. This is NecroSocial.
Edit: Cicero would it be possible to anonymize and deanonymize a comment in the edit?
The lack of interesting content on Mainchan is the main things which makes new users inactive. Without a unique site culture, Mainchan will just be another small Reddit clone.
Most of them won't come, people aren't serious about leaving reddit. They want a site with ready made content. They even label any reddit alternative as a nazi site without even giving it a try.
Reddit normie soyboys expect everything to be given to them and do not have the capability to create new and interesting content. At most, Redditards can only make a few posts that simp or are reposts.
Take a look at the comments in every thread mentioning reedit alternative and you will know that people aren't serious about leaving reddit, they will just look for anything to complain about "oh no it has chan in the name", "oh no there is no mobile app", "oh no there is no content". Just a bunch of faggots complaining about everything without trying to take action and leave their fucking mom's basement.
Out of curiosity, how many users do you have to date? Would be interesting to see a graph of the user base, and how it increases over time.
about 1.5k now
I am here :)
+1 reddit refugee
welcome!
awe.. sorry. I tried.
>IT'S RIGHT WING, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Is something I've read on Reddit. You can't please these people.
We're basically apolitical at this point. No one discusses politics here.
The "disable politics" feature is what makes this stand out above the crowd. Brilliant idea.
btw, was rpcm informed about this site before the blackout? There are quite a few members but it seems most people who moved went to Lemmy
Thanks!
Nope. Every time I try to shill this website on reddit I get downvoted to heck.

Last time I posted it got removed by admins for posting an update more than once per month.
Ikr? I was hoping more people would come here or discardedtruth (the only Ruqqus instance currently online as far as I know)

Post a reply to all Lemmy-shilling comments explaining about the cons of decentralized internet communities.

Could you get the argument-hardened copypasta started by listing some for me because I'm a lazy quack?
Edit: Did not register that was your username, but evidently was picked up by my subconscious.

r/AnarchyChess is considering migrating here. Take that as you will.
Let me know if they have any demands or if there's anything I can do to ease the process.
I agree more people should join s/startrek and discuss Trek. Edit: Goddammit I anoned again.
Do I mean nothing to you?
you’re my world
