Thanks for clarifying that, because I was a bit confused. At first I thought the drawings were yours, but they looked too cutesy and feminine to have been made by a programmer.
Yesterday I was experimenting with a custom css theme for my board, but the big logo on the left caused a bit of a problem, because it didn't fit in with the custom color scheme. I guess I could hide it and replace it with a text link to the home page, but it'd be a lot cooler if I could modify it. However, that would require that external URLs be allowed.
I remember that 8chan had a similar ban on external URLs, but they made an exception for Imgur, which gave board creators more freedom with their themes.
Right now, making a submission requires captcha, unless your karma is high enough. Could you make it so that once an account is old enough, this requirement is removed? Otherwise, it sort of discriminates against users who wish to post anonymously, since anonymous posts don't affect their karma.
It's just to prevent bots. I could foresee a malicious actor creating hundreds of accounts and just waiting for them to get old enough before turning them into spam bots. I prefer this.
