I recommend disabling the link option entirely to increase engagement and to differentiate this site from other Reddit clones. The quality and frequency of posts on Mainchan is no different than the average social media site made by a "rookie" developer(sorry Cicero).
I wish my parents put some sort of filter on my computer when I was a kid because now I am fucked up emotionally and can no longer socialize with others.
Mainchan is just another free speech Reddit clone which will not have a growing userbase unless something unique about the site's culture attracts users from Reddit and 4chan. Most posts linked to articles have no comments while most text and image posts have at least a few comments, which proves the reduction of interactivity when users are linked off-site.

I am not denying the possibly that articles will spark discussions which will increase user activity; I am simply trying to suggest that most articles posted here cannot spark discussion because users are trying to karmafarm by refusing to post anything controversial to ensure that their posts are not downvoted by anyone. I feel that this site is quite redundant, and that, at the very least, discussions should take place in the comment sections of link posts.
You are right. But I think that Cicero should make a crossposting feature so that we can post the same content on multiple subchans without having to copy and paste.
I probably will not have children because of my face(many people have stated that my face is “birth control”) and my height. Even if I do manage to betabuxx and have one or two kids, they will face the same torment and bullying that I face now. Therefore, I am making a conscious decision to remove myself from the gene pool. I have already accepted the fact that I will never experience romantic love, but modern technology allows me to emulate the feeling of it.

Humans have the drive to reproduce and start a family because children were needed for support. Having a family in modern society, however, brings unnecessary levels of anxiety. Parents are constantly worried about their children and many admit to felling regret over their decision to procreate due to the inconveniences that it causes. Also, “hating” your wife and your children is a common punchline for jokes, which should show that this feeling of hatred and boredom from spending time with your family is relatable to most of society. It seems that the OP of this comment thread is willing to spend time with his children, which is good, but I wonder what the length of time that he will be with his future wife, who in modern times will likely only marry him to ensure financial stability, and his children, is before he gets bored and needs a “long vacation” or a divorce.
Females on the internet, excluding attention whores and e-girls, are generally kind and treat all users equally since they assume that all male users are Chads, similar to how males on the internet think that all females are hot. Because of this, you can probably tell which users are females by the way they interact with male users after they reveal his face, height, or any physical characteristic that women find important.
What makes you think that your intelligence is too low to breed? Intelligence doesn't even increase the number of kids because people are mainly attracted to appearance, which I imagine as having minimal correlation with intelligence.
I only spend free time during school, not when I go home, browsing Mainchan and Discord.
