Not gonna happen if things stay like they are. Politics is hidden for logged out visitors, which is great but log in and meet a solid wall of P38lightning's Trump politics posts (there's 20 posts on the homepage, rn TEN of them are P38lightning's right wing propaganda). The type of people that attracts are not the type that will make this site a happening place to be. Politics (and NSFW, and NSFL) need to be toggled off by default (and tags enforced ruthlessly) if this site is gonna make it. I've read through the feature request sub and there's a lot of things already suggested to fix this and more but the admin either isn't into those ideas or doesn't feel like implementing them. I've lost faith in the current incarnation of this site since it is wildly failing the first real test of whether it can withstand just one determined political wonk. What happens if 5 P38 types show up tomorrow? As much potential as this place has it seems to me the site is cooked without some quality of life changes.
