What should this site be known for, if at all?
Is the goal for it to be a vibrant community or should it stay secluded, because there's supposedly 2000 users here but it seems like around 20 people actually engage with the site now. I might not get it because I've only been here for 2 weeks but there's a lot people could do with this website, it's nice to have something like that just around. Would be cool to say I was here before it got famous. Don't know if that's the main goal however. One could just start shilling mainchan like how I found it (Redditalternatives). What do we think?

Well if P38lightning keeps flooding this place with rightwing propaganda all this site will be known for is attracting MAGA tards and being avoided by everyone else. He's low key ruining the little bit of community that was building here. A lot fun ppl stopped posting when he arrived posting a million "the left is evil" articles from right wing "news" sites every day. Unless this place gets like that shareable blocklist thing that bluesky has that lets people en mass avoid seeing posts from particular people I think that guy alone might prevent Mainchan from being successful. But even that might not help because yeah you could blocklist (if we had one) or filter out politics to avoid most of his posts but you have to already be signed up to do that. All a new visitor to the site is going to see is a wall of P38lightning's posts. Most will then never come back and the ones attracted by those posts will slowly turn this place into another right wing echo chamber ignored by anyone sane and likely filled with bots like they all become.
as the admin of /s/news i try not to remove p38's posts unless the contain miss-infomation as mainchan is a free speech site
I support this message. I wouldn't want the guy silenced I just think the wall of P38's politics any new visitor is getting hit with is a bad look for the place. I don't know what to do about it besides hope other people post some sane stuff to balance it out.
Is it not possible to just... flood those sorts of posts out by making your own? The only reason there's a wall of them is because he's one of the few who actually post things here.
