The time has come, I'm activating the political post filter
As our newbie /u/P38lightning continues the non-stop political posts while few others are posting anything the signal to noise ratio around here has drifted firmly into noise territory. I'm an old-school liberal centrist so I have no problems engaging with right wing content from fiscal conservatives all the way to pure racists I'm not offended or angered and if those people make good points I'll agree, if they're funny I'll laugh. P38's stuff though is 99.9% just links to NY Post, Fox and Breitbart type news sites which is boring to begin with regardless of politics and it's as relentless as my posts were back when I was trying to fill the site with content because it was new and empty.
So yeah, I stuck with the political posts thru the election. Filtering politics out now, need less bias and propaganda in my day to day for the time being. Just making a post about it so folks know to like DM me or something if they make a political post they want me to see (like if the Mainchan election thingy comes back to life).

exactly why I added the feature. Politics is a huge turn-off to many.
Yeah I kept everything unfiltered so far but I just spent a little over a week doing a gig managing a bunch of twitter profiles for a social media company leading up to election night. I've been swimming in a sea of political shit, like the money almost wasn't even worth it. The less politics I see rn the better.
Seriously the content filter/tag system you came up with is an innovation. You should patent it.

yeah. that's my main contention with him too. I don't really care about his political opinions, but anyone who takes anything a news agency says seriously is a subhuman in my eyes.

Bruh your posts don't offend me. I'm a Black metalhead who's hung with skinheads and Hell's Angels. You tongue-bathing Trump's grundle and posting articles about trannies being the devil is some gaagaa googoo shit compared to what I'm used to from the right wingers in my life. Just tired of political posts everywhere I look, it's boring and I'm over it.

I've downvoted a couple of your posts ngl, kneejerk reaction a few times I've logged on hoping to see new fun stuff and just seeing identity politics or a libz iz evil post. But your stuff is regularly getting negative votes so you're catching DVs just in general. I upvoted and commented on your trans athlete thing I remember that. Like I said I'm center left, for me it's about facts over faction. As for ignoring political posts... that's literally what I'm doing now by turning on the politics filter. Any DV's you're seeing now definitely aren't from me. I wish ya well and hope you find an audience here and have fun with 'em mate. See ya in the non-pol posts.
