I've worked retail, so a lot of shit. But the most recent one made me quit.
My department was fulfilling online orders. So, we would have to go onto the sales floor and look for whatever the hell the customer ordered. If we're not looking for stuff, we should be scanning stuff that has already been found and packing it to ship. Or we're helping customers pick up their orders via curbside or at our counter. After orders stop coming in we type up a list of stuff we couldn't find and then pretty much chill for the rest of shift.
However, one particular coworker chilled too much if you know what I mean. As soon as I would arrive, she would take her lunch. Once she got back, she would sit on her ass and do fuck all except be on her phone. For the last 5 hours of her shift that's all she would do between helping someone at the counter. I got fed up with her getting away with this shit and leaving me to do everything, so that's why I quit.
Not on the level of what you all had to go through. My old boss would often schedule hang outs outside of work for various holidays and occasions and it was very important to him that everyone attend. He'd foot the bill and get everyone food and drinks and it was always technically a good time. A lot of times though all I wanted in life was just to go home, play some games, smoke some weed and decompress. Especially times when I had work again the next day. Felt like I always had to be "on" and that the job was stealing my free time. I knew many people would kill for that to be the biggest recurring problem with their job though so I never complained.
I guess the actual worst has been some of the asshole managers I've had to deal with at a couple jobs
During covid I temporarily switched departments for a few months.
The mid-50s or so lady in charge of the department decided it was a good idea to have daily, 30 minute meetings that started at 6:45.
For reference, work was normally 9-5. But I guess she thought that since everything was remote and no one had to commute, everyone would be ok with this? Felt pretty disrespectful to me but I guess maybe everyone in that department were early risers or something.
So for a few months I'd wake up, do the meeting, then go back to bed.
But hey I used to do 14 hour shifts working security during college so it could be worse.
My boss made me say something like that, though I forget what. He once told one of my coworkers, a kind autistic sandnigger, "You're being promoted." "To customer." "Just kidding." Gayest part about the whole situation is when the boss quit a few months later: some old faggot who I worked with said "Oh yeah [boss] is leaving. Nice kid!" I thought wtf is this retarded nigger saying 'nice kid'

As a porn star for a few years I had to pound a couple ugly stripper types.
