"Leftist" here. I'm heavily involved in AI music and video creation and the faction on the left that make up the anti-AI hate mob disgusts me.

If the AI art is bad and it was copying his art, wouldn't that mean his art is bad?

there's a difference between an artist learning from other artists and a data scrapper slurping up a billion images off the internet and be given to people only interested in making money

Learning is learning. Gaining knowledge of the world is the only way anything can ever become proficient at anything. What you're defending is a broken capitalistic IP/copyright system that entrenches the power of companies managing the IP silos while those companies continue to treat artists in general like shit.

Let's not start with this AI hate mob bullshit. You have Reddit for this.

Why is generic """art""" allowed to exist? you're just stealing someone's style with the bland anime look.

You can't "steal" someone's style. You can copy or imitate but that person you're copying still has their style when you're done. Copying is not stealing. It's right there in the name copyright.

>Salty AI artists

>anywhere you look online it's the anti-AI people being insanely butthurt about much real art.

Reminds me of the "I AM SILLY" comic
