The last widely successful Final Fantasy game was over 2 decades ago.

Final fantasy died with squaresoft, everything after X has been shit, including movies, books and all the garbage they've made to try and milk this franchise off nostalfags

And yet people keep pretending this is a prestige franchise only to be let down time and time again. The weird thing is both Square-Enix and Final Fantasy fans seem to be under this same delusion. Worse than the Sonic cycle.
