Doesn't it still have like 12,000 players
It has a bunch of players and a big community on socials. Ubisoft is just a terrible company.
It's their fault. Ppl don't want to play some woke and boring slop.
You must be thinking about one of Ubi's other games. This one wasn't woke it was a COD style shooter that had factions/operators from across Ubisoft's other action games (each with their own Overwatch style abilities). It was run by Marc Rubin one of the people behind the OG COD Modern Warfare II and its big thing was no skill based matchmaking bs like what's destroying COD's enjoyability. The main mistake Rubin made was developing it under Ubisoft. Sucks now there's practically no chance of having a COD-like shooter that doesn't use algos and shady rigging to manipulate the gameplay ever again. This game needed to do well to send a message to the industry to stop EOMM/SBMM crap because freedom and fair play can be profitable, so this failure screws over a lot more gamers than just fans of XDefiant.
