If 33 people after you all decide to double and pass on there would need to be over 8 billion people tied onto the tracks, does that mean that you'd also get dragged onto them because there's nobody else left to pick in the world?

Is a deliberate choice, so I would want to pass it on. Problem is I have no clue what kind of person the next guy in line is. He might double it in order to harm more people or they are just like me and want to pass the deed to the next guy over. So I might pick the choice to kill the one person in order to end the cycle before it becomes too extreme to deal with the ramifications.
