yeah I don't get why he releases so much stuff, all it does is drown the more thought-out music in a sea of jam sessions. I've listened to a bunch of his music but ultimately I mostly go back to his classics.
If you like him shredding some other good tracks are Siege Engine, 22222222 and of course Jordan.
For his mellow side Colma, Electric Tears and Electric Sea are the go-to albums.
For something kind of in the middle The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock and Decoding Of The Tomb Of Bansheebot are pretty good.
The Pikes are just too much though, I don't know if anybody in the world knows what's going on in those, not even Buckethead himself. There's more than 400 of them...
and sometimes even if you have the game, emulators open up other possibilities. For example I have a Hogs of War disc and a ps3 to run it, but I recently found out that by emulating it you can play online multiplayer, and there are even expansion mods being made as standalone ISOs
