I know it's subjective, but I think the reply text entry box is a bit too tall. I would guess that 90% of posts are less than 25 words. The expand triangle in the lower right is always there if a larger box is needed. I still have the CAPTCHA box though, which adds to the vertical real estate used for a reply.
Registered today, having a look around. Like many in the last couple days, I'm looking for a new Reddit, but I don't know if I want to be on the bleeding edge of a new venue. Mods of subs on reddit aren't likely to create/mod that sub here too, and I'm not into modding at all.
