Bought a Steam Deck OLED a week or two ago, and brought it home just last weekend. My favorite game Crusader Kings 2 did work on it out of the box, but due to the ass Paradox prices and my own incompetence in finding a alternative working crack for the DLC on Steam Deck, I instead headed over to GOG and got a full copy on sale. Got Heroic Games Launcher, put that as a alternative game on steam, then logged in to my GOG account and wollah now it works. This is the short version of course, had to deal with a few black screens were the game was running but was of no use to me. Might have been able to get a crack working or something, but I just got a idea to use GOG instead and it worked out in the end. Mostly been playing the same titles as my laptop on this thing, but certain games were made to be portable. Using the thing with a simple keyboard, mouse and docking station as I type all this out. Only issue has been with bluetooth and my JBL headphones but I'm mostly happy with the thing now.

Did you install Windows on the deck?

Not yet, most games work fine if you own them outright through steam or GOG, might just get windows on a SD just for when I run in to a program that is being a real pain.
