ChatGPT is significantly better than its earilier versions, but chatbots have existed on the internet even before GPT. I remember that there used to be a chatbot which could generate responses but had no memory.
AI-Generated video already exists. We have went from GPT-3 to poorly-generated AI images to high-quality photorealistic AI-generated images in 1 year. Imagine what the next few months will bring.

I asked ChatGPT to translate a sentence into Spanish and it just substituted each word in the sentence with its Spanish equivalent. I will try again soon and see if it has improved.
I'm slowly leaving the internet more and more these days. Everything is fabricated, fake rage stories, bots flodding all platforms, mandatory ID verification, and to top it all off we have AI that is stealing everyones jobs and removing the humanity from the internet. I'm packing up soon
