I just want a place where I can hang out and meet people before or after work, but no matter where I go, I never meet anyone, and that discourages me from trying again for a while. So I usually just end back at home, playing video games or browsing the internet alone.

Zoomers don't even have money for gas to drive their car anywhere much less hang out in places that cost money, so they're all hanging out in their apartments. Meanwhile boomers drive 3 hours per day for no reason racking up $800/month gas bills.
Not OP, but I spend about $30 on gas once every 3 or 4 months. I'm only 38 though so not a boomer.
