As much as I want self-hosted video posts on here I'd hold off until you have the resources to leave them online indefinitely. Deleting them after a month would create tons of dead links/posts across the site. It'd be a bad look for new users to go to like /s/videos and all the interesting-looking OC posts are dead.
That said maybe there are affordable video streaming hosting solutions that are cheap enough to make hosting video here possible without having to keep deleting them to save bandwidth/storage costs? Would take some looking into I guess. If you don't mind revealing how much you're willing to spend on video hosting maybe we could all go digging to see if there's an affordable host that matches your budget?
That's true. I could save them indefinitely until the website gets big (if it ever does).
