I used to have friends until high school. Now I simply open Mainchan and Discord and browse it during lunch. No one talks to me in real life and I really do not care. I have tried to talk to people many times but I usually get ignored. Does anyone else just go on the internet and avoid socializing with anyone except when necessary?

I live in a fairly isolated area without a whole lot of reasons to leave it, so i don't get many chances to talk to other people irl. As such, most of my human interaction comes from talking to other people on the internet.

even the irl friends i have we mostly talk on discord and occasionally hang out
It kinda is for many people, if you ride the bus or subway you will find most people staring at their screens, hell even in restaurants where people are supposed to talk to each other.

Absolutely, humans by nature are social animals. This why I think humans will evolve into cyborgs in the near future and Homo sapiens will go extinct just like The Neanderthals.
