Zimbabwe University runs with a solar power plant connected to it. They didnt mention who has built it.

It was finised in summer 2025.
Solar plant has two different power regulation lines, one for low power (from 5 to 12 volt, DC) and another for alternate current (230 volts)
even if the bigger power lines wont work, the 5 volt liekly does, which means students can recharge their Apple Phones
There was a water plant earlier:
1000 megawat water power built on a river, but it oftan ran at 20% capacity
Many people use American made diesel generators and pour diesel in it. It will then output 230 volts of alternate current, suitable power for things like clothes washing machine, or a fridge.
Now solar power can do those too.
There is now lithium power cells the size of a small British bus. African man said he estimates they can be ran for 25 years before the cells have died out.
