Ever since I was a kid, I've always wanted to believe that there was a painless afterlife, or just a second chance to do it right.

I felt, and still feel like its the only thing I have to look forward to. I am stuck in a constant waiting.

You don't belong here.

On Earth, I mean.

We die for a reason. Our time is up, and we get to go home.

Life is a lot easier, I think, when you realize that you're not meant to be happy here.

Of course it's ideal for you to be happy, and you aren't meant to be unhappy, but your long restful happiness that you wish for is something that you won't find during your time here, and while you are in this mortal world you have other more immediate things to attend to.

You have a work to do, to become someone who can be happy in the place you're meant to stay, and to do your best to help others on that same path.

Yes, thats kind of how I see it. This life is to prepare myself for the next one, shaping myself into someone I want to be, experiencing things and gathering knowledge for the next life.

I've always thought of it as going home. I'm homesick.

This is why suicide is bad. And murder too I guess.

Of course we want to go home. Of course it hurts. But we're not here for no reason. The pain stretches us out, sorta. Makes more room inside for us to feel more happiness, to hold more love, to let each other in and give each other that love.

Life doesn't make any sense unless the struggle here is as drawn out and intense as this is for a very good reason that couldn't have been done back home.
