I’m admittedly still scared of the dark despite being almost 19 years old.

I still feel like a child. I haven’t yet conceptualized the fact that I have been a legal adult for almost an entire year. However, I still behave as if I were several years younger. For example, I just finished roleplaying WW2 in Minecraft 1.12.2 with various firearms-related mods installed, which I have been doing nearly every night since I was 13. I also still flap my hands in a repetitive and embarrassing manner whenever I get excited and am alone. One would think that, by the age of 19, I would have grown out of such childish behaviors, but that is not the case. And, as the title states, I am still scared of the dark.
