I use Reason because I'm fucking weird and I hate myself
Don't worry that's how every Reason user feels. I used Reason for bit and I think the skeuomorphism helped me conceptualize some things but as I learned more it started to feel limiting to me. You can accomplish cool stuff with some of the devices but it was more of a workflow thing for me.
I use Bitwig Studio and the ease of wirelessly modulating anything with a click it too addicting. I can't go back. But Reason Studios is now focused on Reason Rack as a VST so it's not a bad time to try something else. Unless you use Blocks a lot I don't think you'll miss much.
Are you talking about that block edit mode thing? I've been using this software for something like 15 years and still have no idea what that is or how it works. I've only ever clicked on it by mistake and then immediately closed it again lmao
I never figured it out either lol. But that seems to be the biggest thing people mention missing after switching. So if that's not important to you it might even be easier.
