Cyn herself said Lennon made the whole thing bigger than what it actually was in her autobiography. Lennon didn`t hit or abuse her, he just pushed her against the wall in a drunken fit of rage out of jealously when they started dating.
I guess she was just shy. Very different than Yoko Ono.
He slapped her once which caused her to hit her head against a wall, but that's all she said happened in terms of physical violence
