Counter Strike GO was unironically the most stable cryptocurrency through their skin system until bitcoin hit like 50k for the first time. It still is one of the most stable cryptocurrencies around.

And then once Steam added the ability to use wallet funds to buy steam decks cash out became basically painless.
Right now I'm holding crates that were worth 3 cents when I first got them from free drops, which are now worth $10-$20+. There is literally no other video game that rewards you as much for playing it as Counter Strike GO/2.
Team fortress is still perfectly fine. There is certainly no competitor of any value.
