True Christians are the ones who believe in Christ and have surrendered their lives to Him that means they're BORN AGAIN.
Now if you read the Bible carefully, Hell is a place where the souls that rejected Christ await judgement and after judgement hell and those unholy souls shall be cast into the lake of fire.
Paradise on the other hand exists for the souls of the people that died in Christ like he told one of the thieves that He was crucified with. In Paradise they await resurrection to meet the Christ together with those that will be caught up from the Earth still alive. They will all meet the Christ in the air together.
Eternal torment or the lake of fire will be a place just like the fire that farmers use to burn chaff - the waste from harvest.
