I've done this a lot with games like Rimworld (4k ingame hours played) and now with Elden Ring.
First I played regularly, then I did my level 1 playthrough challenge, then I got really good at PVP, and now I'm stubbornly doing a "permadeath all-bosses" run that I've failed over a dozen times at now.
Am I being autistic by not moving over to a different game?

This is normal, especially for sandbox games like RimWorld.
