As long as there's no monkey paw bullshit, of course. Getting physically old sucks. Hell, I'd even take that pill if it gave me a lifespan of 70 years.
Only reason to use Windows nowadays is really just for games. I'm personally recommending my normie friends to use OSX, while I use Linux for work. Still can't believe Windows has adware in their OS.
George Hotz said the same thing a few days ago in an interview with Lex Fridman. Apparently the incentives in some of these companies to get promoted is to build new internal tooling, don't document it, and then once they leave no one knows what to do because the software is so complex.
It depends on the store, but just steer clear of buying anything anything that connects to power, or anything with batteries. Also, general rule with shopping on these sites is that if the price looks too good to be true, it generally is.
In terms of headsets, I'd just say to avoid gaming headsets if you can afford it (especially wireless IMO) and invest more in to decent headphones with a desk microphone. In that price range you can get pretty high quality headphones from Massdrop.
went through the same thing as you, had Laravel server rendered application and business wanted a RN app, so I had to build a bunch of APIs and implement the app.
but yeah, for React Native I'd strongly suggest using Expo because it adds an API layer to customize native features (such as permissions, app icons, etc) without having to manually change it in a bare RN application, which also allow for much easier upgrades. If you're feeling adventurous, I'd suggest trying out the Expo Router which builds on top on React Navigation and uses file-based routing kind of like Next.js app directory.
Yeah, "chan" is a magnet for a small niche of degens (like me) that would post content that deters normal people. Maybe name it something to do with Corgis? If you need a hand with anything I'm always browsing wdg.
