Saw the first episode from the leaks. Netflix is censoring the hell out of this show. Not just the anime boobs but the dialog as well. I'll stick to the original uncensored series and OVAs. Those pirated 25 gigabytes are hard drive space well spent. Still glad new people will be introduced to the show but that "modern audiences" censorship shit is for babies.
Some of my old bands opened for fairly big acts at the time like Kittie, The Misfits, The Cruxshadows or at big festivals and such. And, for me at least, there was always this initial feeling of "oh shit" when you see a huge ass crowd and realize they expect you to go up on stage and be this larger than life performer who plays a flawless set despite everything you know can go wrong (I once had to improvise a guitar part on the fly to cover for our keyboardist who completely forgot half their solo in front of a crowd this big (not us btw just the same venue and crowd size) That moment of terror did not not suck). But every time anxiety like that hits just power through. When it's fight or flight almost always choose violence and choose it automatically because the hesitation can screw you over as well. Like if I'd been one beat later covering for my keyboardist the screw up would have been obvious and we'd have had to stop and restart the song which is just death.
So yeah that's how I handle anxiety over situations or courses of action. Just general anxiety where you're like chilling at home and it hits you? Well that's what weed is for. Unless weed makes you anxious then I dunno ketamine? Play with a puppy or something?
I'd need more details, is it just stay healthy and young but can die if traumatic injury hits me like getting hit by a truck or shot? Is it youth, health, invulnerability to physical damage or mental decay, etc. forever? Would I be able to die if I want to? I lean towards yeah take the pill but then I don't want to be around when the sun swallows the earth or have to suffocate in empty space waiting for the heat death of the universe or something.
At the loving, supporting and teaching absolutely. At the providing-for part definitely not considering providing for just myself has been a clusterfuck of mayhem.

Mainchan is a free speech platform which is great but there's a hard truth that comes with that. We can filter out racists and gore but the fact that racism isn't banned or the hide-NSFL option isn't on by default even for guests means anyone with a public image to protect is likely to stay far away from here (unless they're a right winger or racist themselves, so maybe a Fox News or alt-right type celebrity). I couldn't budge Cicero's thinking on hiding NSFL by default a year ago when I asked about it so I can't imagine Mainchan's growth shaking out any other way despite most of the user base so far seemingly being center, center-left, and left (and not bigots).
Any celebrity who isn't a racist or righty that sets up shop here would have to be a free speech absolutist I think, otherwise they'd stick with the heavily censored platforms like Reddit. That or someone who's already a member here needs to become a celebrity. How about it Shorty, any plans to become like a movie star anytime soon?
The Mainchan App Issues thread here lists all the missing features between the site and the app as something to be addressed. The Subchan List is issue #9 and Cicero says it'll eventually be added under the Subchan Tab in the app.
Now that I think about it someone should make a thread that links to all the website only pages for the app-only folks. I'll prolly do that today if no one beats me to it.
I use Perplexity and Chat GPT (free versions). I'd like to try Claude and will definitely be diving into Cursor when I do whatever my next paid coding thing is.
What about you? Also do you use any image or video AI?
Lemmy has Reddit's political bias on roids and ever since the blackout migration Lemmy has many of Reddit's more power mad mods as active users. Those were what put a damper on it for me. Decentralization is great but Lemmy's version of it with Federation is more like a bunch of little fiefdoms run by admins that can be worse than some of the mods. It'a a fine enough place to have as like a side place to visit but I could not see it as a number one hangout.
But yeah there's a lot of Reddit Alternative folks who think just because Lemmy has decent user numbers it can be the Reddit killer but I don't see it happening.
