I miss it when bizzare anime plots were written brilliantly, now it's just ridiculous shit like an isekai about the MC starting a harem with the enemies' moms (yes that's an actual anime plot).
Undertale too, although the majority are pretty chill, a part of its fandom would shit on anyone for choosing the Genocidal route, similar to MHA fans they would ship underaged characters, etc.
Genuinely can't tell the genre, this could very well fit in, in any genre depending on the context.
