I'm Canadian, parents are unsupportive of the idea of welfare.

Though, I am technically an adult now, and I mostly need to realize I'm not really enslaved to my parents/ what they want anymore.

boomers are tough.

your second statement is right, you are an adult and you can make your own choices, but try to make sure none of those choices actually end up with you being homeless, if you got welfare, would you be able to live on your own?

I mean if welfare provides everything to live on my own then yes, I am fairly independent. I just hope that welfare would cover medical things as I do need a constant supply of med, without it I would probably have to kill myself. Thats what I'm mostly worried about.

i think you need to do a bit of research, make some phone calls and ponder your options accordingly. even if it sounds stressful, you'll feel better afterwards.
