I like the notion. If it's technically feasible and won't run afoul of Reddit's legal hit squad I back the idea. Just has to be something Cicero wants to implement. Who knows. Make it a post on /s/FeatureRequest
So you're suggesting a system like Odysee.com has where they can one-click clone a person's Youtube channel for them? I think that'd still need API access for Reddit though.
Something tells me that would next super difficult if not impossible. It was more possible when the Reddit api was free and easy to use. Now you'd need to crawl a sub to index it or pay an enormous fee for API access. Then how do you import every post and comment here when we don't have the same users as Reddit? Make every post show up as written by a randomly generated fake user? Clone the accounts of all the Redditors who's posts you imported then message them on Reddit to say "come claim your cloned account?" Then's there the matter of all the legal trouble that whole thing would attract when Reddit comes suing the pants off Cicero for taking their data without paying.
Still kicking. Been pretty active around here lately actually. The low activity just really started on Sunday. So just the last two days. Only had a drought of posts once before. It'll pick up again.
Legit didn't even know Megalopolis was out already. Thought that was coming out months from now for some reason. Guess the Megaflopolis prediction was correct. Shame, I hate seeing experimental, risk-taking movies bomb. Just teaches Hollywood to keep making the same old reboots and sequels.
Usually when I report a post for missing a tag I'm not trying to hide it, just doing my part to make sure people who do want to filter those type of posts can.
A hiding feature would be a good addition though. Maybe a link that says "block" which brings up a menu where you can check boxes to "block user or block post" or somesuch?
Edit: This was marked as a reply to /u/ymous in the app but posted as a top level comment. Oddness.
Well it had to happen eventually. We seem to have our first unfair, power-tripping mod. Looks like it's time to make a new Pixelland sub and abandon the original. Since there's so few subbed there it should be pretty trivial to make the new sub the default for Pixelland posts by making sure everyone knows it's (1 follower, 3 karma having) mod is a powertripper. Then, eventually when the original sub is a ghost town for 30+ days you can come in and claim it.
Hey, I like finally being the second most frequent poster around here. Also Cicero is way too IDGAF to bother posting on an alt just to mimic activity. I can't get the guy to send out a mass email to remind lapsed users the site exists and has an app now.
Haha, I just saw that weaksauce post you made on Reddit. It's a bad read and has a typos:
...has all kinds of features that [word missing] doesn't have
...feed for users your follow
...We also don't have ads plan to monetize through "private feeds" (I know what you mean and that sentence is still confusing)
Were you perhaps throwing back a couple shots when you wrote that post?
Also do you have any other way to add people to the beta than email addresses? I can imagine people not wanting to give their emails up front before they've even signed up for the site/app... especially after reading a message who's typos kinda read like a scammer email.
I left a comment in there btw, just giving the place props.
Isn't Glance just a Motorola Droid thing?
Settings > Display > Lock Screen > Glance for Moto
Huh, does kinda look like him, but that has to be some pr0n star with that pose. The tin foil hat is what confuses me.

Haha nice

Thanks mate. I had a lot of time knowing it was coming though so that helped.
I think I replied to that post suggesting they check Mainchan out.

This is the sort of scientific study the world needs
Coolness
Replied to ya in the app, but it didn't post as a reply so I tagged you in it.
Yeah, even better idea, keeps everything global. Nice.

Why not just post the image here?
Somehow still scummy.

I bet one post from you on Reddit Alternatives will do it.
