Now that I've had some hours to mull it over I can at least appreciate that it didn't make me hate it and its creators like say Rings of Power or Halo season one. But yeah I was expecting better. The original sets an insanely high bar to reach.
Despite my rant above I'd say it's worth a watch. Like I said there is a lot of good stuff in there and maybe the things that bothered me won't be a big deal to you. I don't regret watching it, just a number of creative and casting choices (also the VFX can be bad sometimes and the obvious LED wall can be obvious sometimes). But yeah give it a watch.
Less weak, more mobile. Heart still doing weird shit. Still get short of breath out of nowhere sometimes though I have less anxiety that I'm going to suddenly lose the ability to breath... just sometimes I get the slightest twinge of that feeling I had right before I almost died at the hospital and then I get anxious again. In general just trying to settle into whatever this new normal is. It'll be a month or two before I can get tested again to see if the embolism has decreased enough that I can think about like mountain biking or lifting for exercise. So all and all still sucks just not as bad. Thanks for asking.
Can't wait to see all the anti-AI luddites in video creation and editing seething with existential dread over this. Their impotent tears will nourish me.
I'm pissed they didn't stick with John Krasinski for Reed Richards. Also the woman they picked for Sue Storm has the kind of terminal resting bitch face I can only see working on a villain character. The other two cast members are whatever. None of this gives me any hope the movie is going to be good. Disney's DEI standards have so far prevented them from making good films (aside from the anomaly that was GoG 3), big doubt anything will change moving forward. Would be nice to be surprised though.
I'm thinking it'll be divisive, where one crowd loves it and the other crowd thinks they messed it up. Just the changes they've already announced (cutting Sokka's sexism arc, showing the Fire Lord's face in S1, introducing Azula in S1, adding Zuko flashbacks, lowering the number of times Aang goes into the avatar state). There's a whole lotta room for them to fuck this up. Really hope they don't though.
Independent safety panels are for pussies. This is America, we're gonna invade the moon like Saddam is still alive and hiding in a basement on that bitch snortin' yellow cake.
Absolutely hate when companies do this. So instead of having two options and price/service competition in alcohol delivery it's just Uber or nothing. Plus Drizzly had a different model, the deliveries came from the stores you ordered from, not a gig worker. When I was drinking regularly I had a couple of delivery people I got to know because it was always the same people delivering, two of them were very attractive women, which was a nice bonus. Now it'll be the same non-English-speaking, can never follow delivery instructions or find the address ass randos as UberEats delivering, makes me glad I rarely drink now. That's capitalism for ya.
Yeah the rumor mill has been buzzing for a while that secretive hedge funds like Medallion have cracked some quantum algo that has gotten them all the years of crazy market beating returns they've had. The only hire high level mathematicians and physicists instead of stock or finance experts, makes sense.
Fucking hell. I didn't eat at Friday's often but I enjoyed their Jack Daniels menu a lot when I did. They're closing like all of their locations anywhere near me. Won't even be able to Doordash/UberEats from them anymore. Their new CEO is an idiot.

Did you see Ghostbusters Afterlife? It was good. These aren't connected to the terrible all-woman 2016 movie.
What I'd like to see is some high definition videos of what explosions in space look like so movie VFX can finally start showing them accurately.
Glad we're doing more Moon missions. Bout time we step this space travel game up.

You'll fit right in on Grindr then.

I don't hate Netflix, still gonna fly the colors tho

Ah nice, didn't notice it there. Would a link to the Mainchan Discord fit in there as well?
Still wish Cicero would add the list (https://mainchan.com/subchan-list) to the main navigation up top as suggested a few months ago but hey whatchagonnado?
International trailer here (it's actually better than the US trailer IMO): https://youtu.be/gs4M_kmHJR0?si=1tWC3Fsj6kMvw2jS
I'd almost ruled the Chiefs out this year. They keep this up people are gonna start calling it a dynasty.

That Youtuber thing feels like it's their new flex. "I've conquered youtubing so much it bores me, I'm retiring now."
So what you're saying is Chiefs for the win?

Decades later, still funny.

I don't have a picture of it's final size but here's how it was before it covered my whole forearm.
